Who we are

Kitchener Housing Inc.

Incorporated in 1986, KHI (sponsored by the City of Kitchener) had the objectives to purchase, construct, own, manage and maintain housing for low and moderate income individuals and families within the community.

Twenty-five years later, we, along with Kitchener Non-Profit Property Management Inc., have grown to own and operate more than 750 units, be they apartments, townhouses or single family homes.

We are managed by a Board of Directors — with three Elected Officials and eight Community Directors. Community Directors are volunteers that work, or live in Kitchener and are able to hold office for up to two three-year terms.

Kitchener Non-Profit Management Inc.

As a property management company, our job is to interview applicants and keep our tenants appropriately housed according to all relevant legislation.

Our property management and maintenance personnel focus their attention on ensuring the quality of our units — both inside and out, while our administration and finance professionals oversee the financial health of the organization.

We’re committed to balancing short term and long term commitments in order to keep all of our buildings and assets looking and feeling their best.
